#2 update in New Zealand

Monday, April 4, 2016
Here comes my 3rd month being in New Zealand.
Just ended my 3rd job in Blenheim, and had just moved to Motueka and get ready for the 4th job.
I was working as a grape picker, it's not easy as it requirement strong stamina to stand the whole day and cut and pick the grape.
Since it is by contract, we need to be fast to collect more grapes.
However I managed to work until the end, not only to get experience and earn money, but also it is the job which I have been thinking long time ago.

While my 2nd job in Alexandra, I managed to found a job and worked as peach and nectarine grader and packer in Clyde Orchard.
Although worked for just 2 weeks, I met a lot of friends there, and I missed them very much!
Thus, I will try to keep in touch with them.

March is actually my birthday month.
On my birthday, we din't really celebrate but we went for a day trip around the upper east coast of New Zealand.
The views are really beautiful! I love them all!
Celebrating birthday in New Zealand was special, and I also know those friends should I appreciate.

#1 update in New Zealand

Monday, February 15, 2016
I have been waiting for this moment ever since I've been heard about it during my uni time.

Unexpectedly, the luck came to me and I got what I want.

From the day I got it, I can tell that I have been struggling over the year 2015 for my work and study, and has been looking forward this day to come at the same time.

AND here I am, New Zealand...!

So what's is my 2016 resolution? To experience how the life is in New Zealand.

This is my first time travel to a Western country, so I do not know what is the expectation when I am in New Zealand.

I reached in New Zealand in 21 Dec 2015, and the first place I landed was Christchurch. That time I was still felt unbelievable to be in New Zealand.

After one week, I moved to Cromwell to start my first ever job - packing cherries at 45 South. I spent about more than 1 month to work in the orchard. It's not an easy especially when you do not have experience of working in horticulture industry.

What I would like to comment about my first job is, the management is not effective nor systematic. The machines are not accurate and need people to re-weight the cherries before they are being packed. A lot of man power are needed to pack the cherries and need to deliver them on the same day. But, I feel fortunate because I'm not packing the cherries at all time and just making boxes. However, at night I have to stay back to do cleaning. Working in this company is not best moment, but it is a good experience.

After that we moved to Alexandra to find a new job. However it is not easy to get a job here since cherry season has ended. So, I used most of my time to watch drama and go out for a walk to see Alexandra.

I hope this year will be one of the best time for me in New Zealand.
